Health center (HC) is usually attached to a GB branch and acts both as an insurer and also a provider of Primary Health Care (PHC) services. Each center is headed by a Center Director who is usually an MBBS doctor. A DMF doctor, an office manager, one female paramedic (re productive health), a laboratory technician and six female community health assistants(CHA) assist him/her. Its operational area corresponds to that of the GB branch, which covers an area with a radius of about eight kilometers. They also sell selected health products. The doctor sees patients on an outpatient basis; provides treatment, advice and refers the patients, if necessary, to a referral hospital. Doctor organizes satellite clinic once in a week for the members living at remote areas.
Office Manager sells the medicine and maintains accounts. DMF assist the doctors, provide primary treatment and advice family planning (FP) methods in absence of the doctors Paramedics (reproductive Health) performing safe delivery along with treatment of minor ailments pertaining and supervise the HC. Lab. Technicians conduct routine pathological tests for the patients referred by the doctor. They also monitor the activities of CHAs in the field to improve the quality of domicile services. Health Assistants provide door to door services promoting health care services and disseminating health education.

Procedure of getting services:
By paying tk120 a GB member and tk150 a non-GB member can issue a health insurance card to get the health services from GK for one year. Maximum six person of his/her family including himself/herself can get these services.
The cardholder members pay Tk 10 to get these services for each visit to the health center.
For pathological examination patient should pay in cash and these charges are 30-50% less than market price.
Cardholders can do the pregnancy checkup and also get advice for that period by paying prescription charge only.
To prevent difficulty in natural delivery doctors make aware the patients before delivery. For caesarian births GK finance maximum TK 2,000.
Advice for family planning and the instrument of family planning are distributed by GK.
GK provides medicines of reputed companies within 10-25% less price than the MRP.
Health center pay 50% to the specialist doctor when they refer any patient to him/her.
If cardholder or any person among the six members of card will refer to any referral hospital by health center than GK compensate TK 500 to TK 2,000 in cash per year of a family.
The leader of the cardholder can get free routine check up in a year.
Non cardholder of GB can also get services from health centers by paying TK 25/- and NGB TK 50/- for each visit.
